How to view/print your bill

  • Log in to your WVU MyAccount
  • Click on the "My Account" tab in top of the Home screen and select "Statements" from the drop-down menu
  • The next page will initially say "You have no billing statement at this time." Please wait for a few seconds while the "On Demand Statement" button loads.
  • Click on the "On Demand Statement" button
  • In the next window, choose the semester for which you want to access your billing statement from the "Term" drop-down menu
  • An On Demand Statement is up-to-date as of the moment it is generated. If you would like to have a copy of your statement before closing out of the window, you can print or save it as a PDF.

    Printing Your WVU MyAccount Statement

    • Once you have accessed your On Demand Statement, scroll to the bottom of the statement window and select "Print"
    • In the Print window, select your chosen printer in the Destination field and click "Print."

    • Once you have accessed your On Demand Statement, scroll to the bottom of the statement window and select "Print"
    • In the Print window, select "Save as PDF" in the Destination field and click "Save"

Paying your bill online

Paying your bill online is the fastest and easiest way to take care of your bill payment.  

  • Making a Payment with an Electronic Check

    If you wish to make a regular online payment on your student's behalf, students must now grant you Authorized User access through the new WVU MyAccount platform, even if you already have existing proxy access to the student's billing information. Payment plans will still be managed via TouchNet for the fall semester and are currently unaffected by this change.

    1. Log in to your WVU MyAccount
    2. Click on the "Make Payment" tab on the top of your Home screen
    3. Input the amount you wish to pay in the applicable field for the semester
    4. If you have set up a preferred payment method, the system will attempt to charge that method. You can click to continue, or click the "Cancel" button to provide a different method. If you have not set up a preferred payment method, select the payment method you want to use, and click "Continue" button.
    5. Next, input the information for the bank account you wish to use.
      1. If you would to save the payment method you are using, please check the box next to "Save this payment method for future use"
      2. If you would like to make this information your preferred method for future payments, you must make sure the checkbox is checked where it says "Set as your preferred payment method. You can choose a different payment method prior to submitting any payment."
    6. You will then have to agree to the ACH Payment Agreement. Please review the information carefully and click the checkbox next to "I Agree" and click the "Continue" button in bottom right corner of the screen.
  • Making a Payment with a Credit Card

    1. Log in to your WVU MyAccount
    2. Click on the "Make Payment" tab on the top of your Home screen
    3. In the space provided, input the amount you wish to pay
    4. On the following screen, select the payment method you are wanting to use and click "Continue" button
    5. On the Confirmation screen, please review all the information listed for accuracy, then click on the "Continue to PayPath" button
    6. Once you are directed to PayPath, you can review your transaction details and select "Continue." Please note that there is a 2.85% (minimum $3.00) service charge associated with making a credit card payment, which will be added to the total payment amount.
    7. Next, you will see a Payment Amount Information screen to verify your payment amount. Once you verify the amount you would like to pay, click the "Continue" button.
    8. On the following screen input the requested billing information for the credit card you are using. Once finished, click the "Continue" button.
      1. If your billing address is outside of the Unites States, please check the box labelled "Check if address is outside of the United States"
    9. On the Review Your Payment Transaction screen, please review all of the information for accuracy, and make sure you select the checkbox next to "I agree to the terms and conditions" before clicking in the "Submit Payment" button

  • Monthly Tuition Payment Plan
    • West Virginia University is pleased to offer an interest-free monthly payment option for students. Get all the information on semester and yearly plans on the WVU Tuition Payment Plan page.
  • If you would prefer to make your payment in person, please visit our office in room 110 of the Benedum Center (609 S. Kanawha St.)
  • Wire Transfer - WVU has partnered with Flywire to provide international students with an easy and secure method to send international payments in your home currency. 
  • 529 College Savings Plan - Each plan is different, so be sure to contact your plan manager for instructions. Checks may be sent to the address referenced above.
  • Third Party Payments - Do you have a sponsor paying your tuition or fees? Examples of third party sponsors include federal agencies, foreign embassies, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, etc. Contact: osatps@mail.wvu.edu


Sponsors, please include:

    • Student’s Name
    • Student’s WVU ID Number
    • Specific charges or dollar amount that sponsor will be paying
    • What academic terms sponsor will be paying
    • Billing address for sponsor
    • Name, signature, and contact information for person authorizing contract
    • Please visit studentaccounts.wvu.edu for more information

If you don’t plan to enroll, be sure to drop your classes or you will owe tuition charges for the semester.
